Bradford girls basketball team loses to Covington

BRADFORD – Bradford lost 64-41 to Covington in a Cross County Conference girls basketball game on Thursday in Bradford.

Covington led 14-10 at the end of the first quarter and extended its advantage to 33-18 by halftime. The Buccs led 54-26 through three quarters before Bradford outscored Covington 15-10 in the fourth quarter to make the final score 64-41.

Mandi Bates led Bradford with 17 points. Also for the Railroaders, Bianca Keener scored 7 points, Ally Booker scored 6, Chelsea Gill scored 6, Liv Hart scored 4, and Hannah Fout scored 1. Keener had a game-high 12 rebounds.

Samantha Whiteman led Covington with a game-high 28 points. Also for the Buccs, Jordan Crowell scored 7 points, Addison Metz scored 6, Justice Warner scored 6, Lexie Long scored 5, Lillian Hamilton scored 4, Makenzie Long scored 4, Allison Angle scored 2, and Lauren Christian scored 2.
