PITSBURG – The Franklin Monroe girls basketball team improved to 8-3 with a 47-25 victory against Tri-County North.

Franklin Monroe took a 13-6 first quarter lead and increased its advantage to 27-13 by halftime. The Jets led 36-20 through three quarters en route to the 47-25 win.

Belle Cable led Franklin Monroe with a game-high 20 points. Also for the Jets, Corina Conley scored 15 points, Kennedy Morris scored 9, and Chloe Peters scored 3.

Aubrey Stupp led Tri-County North with 12 points. Also for the Panthers, Megan Poling scored 8, Shyanna Baker 2, Chelsey Strawser 2, and Addison Pahl 1.

Franklin Monroe improved to 8-3 overall and 4-2 in the Cross County Conference with the win.
