Versailles bowling teams win WOHSBC matches at Woodcrest Lanes

UNION CITY – Versailles’ boys and girls bowling teams both won West Ohio High School Bowling Conference matches on Saturday at Woodcrest Lanes in Union City.

The Versailles boys beat Ansonia 2,866-1,565. Alex Groff led Versailles with games of 199 and 263, Jacob Wenig rolled games of 266 and 154, Kyle Cotner bowled games of 191 and 172, Aydan Moran rolled a 189, and Brandon Bradley rolled a 171. Charles Murphy led Ansonia with games of 122 and 116, Sam Rhoades rolled games of 121 and 86, Allen Christman rolled games of 82 and 90, Tyler Clark bowled a 109, Tyler Dishman rolled a 93, Jacob Vietor bowled an 86, and Jedd Rismiller rolled a 78.

Versailles improved to 6-2 with its win while Ansonia fell to 0-7.

Versailles’ girls beat Fort Recovery 2,201-1,884. Brigette Holsapple led Versailles with games of 147 and 161. Also for the Lady Tigers, Morgan Heitkamp rolled games of 137 and 170, Makenzie Berning rolled games of 159 and 143, Jamee Brown rolled a 147, Haddi Treon bowled a 141, Morgan Barlage bowled a 141, and Maggie Hedrick rolled a 115.

Versailles improved to 6-2 with the victory.

The Ansonia girls lost 2,102-1,808 to Marion Local. Rebecca Thornhill led Ansonia with games of 159 and 116. Also for the Tigers, Lexi Shinn rolled games of 133 and 134, Madison Stover rolled a 141 and a 120, Sarah Rhoades bowled games of 121 and 128, Audrey Kelly rolled a 127, and Molly Walls bowled a 94.

Ansonia fell to 0-7 with the loss.

Mississinawa Valleys’ girls lost 2,162-2,000 to Minster. Spencer Warren led Mississinawa Valley with games of 195 and 193. Also for the Lady Hawks, Audree Weimer rolled games of 124 and 144, Tiffany Westfall bowled games of 148 and 112, Payton Reichard rolled a 129 and a 126, Elizibeth Mangas bowled a 117, and Airrika Westfall rolled a 91.

Mississinawa Valley dropped to 4-3 with the loss.

The Mississinawa Valley boys lost 2,299-2,268 to New Bremen. Zac Longfellow led Mississinawa Valley with games of 180 and 158. Also for the Blackhawks, Brandon White rolled games of 148 and 176, Lucas Neubauer rolled games of 124 and 168, and Alex Longfellow rolled a 153.

Mississinawa Valley fell to 6-3 with the loss.
