Bradford boys basketball team loses in overtime to Newton

BRADFORD – The Bradford boys basketball team lost 60-57 in overtime to Newton on Saturday night.

Bradford trailed 13-12 at the end of the first quarter and 27-20 at halftime but came back to take a 41-37 lead in the third quarter. Newton tied the game at 50-50 to force overtime and then outscored the Railroaders 10-7 in the OT period to win by 3.

Dialaquan Millhouse had 13 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal for Bradford. Alex Swabb had 13 points, eight assists, one rebound and one steal.

Josh Phillips had 11 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Parker Smith had 11 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Walker Branson had 4 points, six rebounds and a steal. Chase Gambill scored 3 points, and Christian Ross scored 2.

Bradford fell to 2-18 with the loss while Newton improved to 6-14. The Railroaders will travel to Houston on Tuesday.
