Franklin Monroe girls win Air Show Relays track and field meet

PITSBURG – Franklin Monroe won the girls team championship at its own Air Show Relays track and field meet on Saturday.

Franklin Monroe won the girls championship in the six-team meet with 132 points, Ansonia finished second with 106, Tri-County North finished third with 74, Tri-Village finished fourth with 38, Fairlawn finished fifth with 36, and National Trail finished sixth with 2.

Fairlawn won the boys championship with 106 points, Franklin Monroe finished second with 94, Ansonia finished third with 76, Tri-County North finished fourth with 60, National Trail finished fifth with 50, and Tri-Village finished sixth with 46.

All of the events during the Air Show Relays were scored as relays. The winning team in each event earned 10 points, second place earned 8, third earned 6, fourth earned 4, and fifth place teams earned 2.

Ansonia won the girls long jump with a total of 37 feet 4 inches, Franklin Monroe finished second with a total of 35 feet 2.5 inches, Tri-County North finished third at 32 feet 11.5 inches, Tri-Village finished fourth at 31 feet 9.5 inches, and Fairlawn finished fifth at 15 feet 7.5 inches.

Tri-Village won the boys long jump with a total of 53 feet 3.5 inches, Tri-County North finished second with a total of 49 feet 3.75 inches, Fairlawn finished third at 48 feet 6.25 inches, Ansonia finished fourth at 44 feet 11 inches, and National Trail finished fifth at 37 feet 5.5 inches.

Ansonia won the girls high jump with a total of 13 feet 4 inches, Franklin Monroe finished second with a total of 12 feet 4 inches, and Tri-County North finished third with a total of 9 feet 6 inches.

Ansonia won the boys high jump with a total of 16 feet 6 inches, Franklin Monroe finished second at 11 feet 4 inches, and Fairlawn finished third with a total of 10 feet 6 inches.

Franklin Monroe won the girls pole vault with a total of 15 feet while Tri-County North finished second with a total of 6 feet 6 inches.

Ansonia won the boys pole vault by clearing a total of 27 feet, Tri-County North finished second with a total of 17 feet, and Fairlawn finished third by clearing 7 feet 6 inches.

Franklin Monroe won the girls shot put with a total of 106 feet 2.75 inches, Tri-Village finished second at 78 feet 10.5 inches, Ansonia finished third at 72 feet 10.5 inches, Fairlawn finished fourth at 70 feet 5 inches, and Tri-County North finished fifth at 58 feet 7 inches.

Fairlawn won the boys shot put with a total distance of 114 feet 11 inches, Franklin Monroe finished second at 97 feet 5.5 inches, Ansonia finished third at 91 feet 1 inch, Tri-County North finished fourth at 89 feet 7.25 inches, and National Trail finished fifth at 83 feet 8.75 inches.

Franklin Monroe won the girls discus with a total of 286 feet 7 inches, Ansonia finished second at 197 feet 7 inches, Tri-County North finished third at 195 feet 7 inches, Tri-Village finished fourth at 180 feet 2 inches, and National Trail finished fifth at 135 feet 11.5 inches.

Fairlawn won the boys discus with a total of 314 feet 2.5 inches, Tri-County North finished second with a total of 261 feet 6.5 inches, Franklin Monroe finished third with a total of 256 feet 9 inches, National Trail finished fourth at 246 feet 5 inches, and Ansonia finished fifth at 210 feet 11.5 inches.

Franklin Monroe won the girls field event medley with a total of 452 feet 4.25 inches, Ansonia finished second at 321 feet 1.5 inches, Tri-County North finished third at 303 feet 1.5 inches, Tri-Village finished fourth at 290 feet 10 inches, and Fairlawn finished fifth at 212 feet 9.5 inches.

Fairlawn won the boys field event medley with a total of 495 feet 7.75 inches, Tri-County North finished second at 417 feet 5.5 inches, Franklin Monroe finished third at 403 feet 6 inches, Ansonia finished fourth at 390 feet 5.5 inches, and National Trail finished fifth at 367 feet 7.25 inches.

Franklin Monroe won the girls 4×1,600 meter relay in 30:22.

Franklin Monroe won the boys 4×1,600 meter relay in 22:10, National Trail finished second in 23:06, Tri-County North finished third in 23:50, Tri-Village finished fourth in 23:52, and Ansonia finished fifth in 25:06.

Ansonia won the girls shuttle hurdles in 1:14.43, Fairlawn finished second in 1:19, Tri-Village finished third in 1:20.06, Tri-County North finished fourth in 1:20.34, and Franklin Monroe finished fifth in 1:25.

Fairlawn won the boys shuttle hurdles in 1:09.23, Ansonia finished second in 1:09.35, and Franklin Monroe finished third in 1:25.31.

Ansonia won the girls 4×200 meter relay in 1:58.66, Franklin Monroe finished second in 2:00, Tri-County North finished third in 2:05.09, and Tri-Village finished fourth in 2:18.75.

Franklin Monroe won the boys 4×200 meter relay in 1:44, Fairlawn finished second in 1:47.25, Tri-County North finished third in 1:47.58, Ansonia finished fourth in 1:51.93, and National Trail finished fifth in 2:01.

Ansonia won the girls 4×800 meter relay in 12:24, and Franklin Monroe finished second in 13:03.

Fairlawn won the boys 4×800 meter relay in 9:07.41, National Trail finished second in 9:37.36, Franklin Monroe finished third in 9:53, Tri-County North finished fourth in 10:12, and Ansonia finished fifth in 10:57.

Franklin Monroe won the girls 4×100 meter relay in 56.25, Tri-County North finished second in 56.47, Ansonia finished third in 56.67, Fairlawn finished fourth in 56.91, and Tri-Village finished fifth in 1:03.

Ansonia won the boys 4×100 meter relay in 47.83, Tri-Village finished second in 48.46, Fairlawn finished third in 49.35, Franklin Monroe finished fourth in 50.41, and Tri-County North finished fifth in 50.73.

Franklin Monroe won the girls 4×400 meter relay in 4:51, Fairlawn finished second in 5:12, Tri-County North finished third in 5:19, and Ansonia finished fourth in 5:26.

Tri-Village won the boys 4×400 meter relay in 3:51, Franklin Monroe finished second in 3:54, National Trail finished third in 4:07, Ansonia finished fourth in 4:18, and Tri-County North finished fifth in 4:25.

Ansonia won the girls middle distance medley in 12:27, Franklin Monroe finished second in 12:40, Tri-County North finished third in 13:40, and Tri-Village finished fourth in 14:52.

Fairlawn won the boys middle distance medley in 9:30, Franklin Monroe finished second in 9:50, National Trail finished third in 10:40, Tri-County North finished fourth in 11:11, and Tri-Village finished fifth in 11:18.

Franklin Monroe won the girls sprint medley in 2:08, Fairlawn finished second in 2:14, Ansonia finished third in 2:19, Tri-County North finished fourth in 2:20, and Tri-Village finished fifth in 2:31.

Tri-Village won the boys sprint medley in 1:45, Franklin Monroe finished second in 1:46, Ansonia finished third in 1:50, Fairlawn finished fourth in 1:53, and National Trail finished fifth in 2:12.

Franklin Monroe won the girls Ironwoman 4×100 meter relay in 1:10, Ansonia finished second in 1:15, and Tri-County North finished third in 1:19.

Fairlawn won the boys Ironman 4×100 meter relay in 55.29, National Trail finished second in 55.80, Franklin Monroe finished third in 55.90, Ansonia finished fourth in 58.05, and Tri-Village finished fifth in 58.91.
