Tri-Village softball team run rules Bethel

NEW MADISON – Tri-Village run ruled Bethel 16-2 in five innings of Cross County Conference softball on Monday.

Tri-Village and Bethel played two innings on Friday, but the game was suspended due to weather. On Friday Tri-Village jumped out to a 12-0 lead with three runs in the first inning and nine in the second. After Bethel scored two in the fourth on Monday, the Patriots added four insurance runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Tri-Village had 10 hits and two errors. Bethel had three hits and five errors.

Kloey Murphey went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Allie Downing was 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, two runs and four RBI. Shelby Frech went 2-for-2 with a double and three runs.

Danika Mann was 1-for-4 with a home run, a run and three RBI. Rachel Miller went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, a two runs. Trisa Porter was 1-for-3 with a walk and a RBI. Andi Bietry walked twice, stole a base, scored a run and drove in a run. Shelby Holzapfel drove in two runs and scored two runs. Payge Malott walked once and drove in a run. Breeann Lipps scored three runs.

Porter pitched the complete game, allowing one earned run and one unearned run on three hits, four walks and five strikeouts.
