Bradford’s Karmen Knepp sets school record at Covington Quad track and field meet

COVINGTON – Bradford’s Karmen Knepp broke her school record in the 800 meter run at the Covington Quad track and field meet on Thursday.

In the meet that also included Covington, Houston and Sidney, Knepp finished second in the girls 800 meter run in a school-record time of 2:32.6. She finished second in the girls 400 meter dash in 1:06.6.

Mercedes Smith won the girls 400 meter dash in 1:06.5. She finished second in the girls long jump with a jump of 13 feet 9.5 inches and finished third in the girls 200 meter dash in 30.98.

Maia Stump won the girls 200 meter dash in 28.82 and won the girls long jump with a jump of 16 feet. She finished second in the girls 100 meter dash.

Jay Roberts won the boys 1,600 meter run in 5:11.7. He finished fifth in the boys high jump by clearing 5 feet.

Kurt Hoover won the boys long jump by jumping 18 feet 6.75 inches. He finished second in the boys 400 meter dash in 57.36 and second in the boys 200 meter dash in 24.81.

The Bradford girls 4×200 meter relay finished second in 2:02.3.

Mandi Bates finished second in the girls discus with a throw of 70 feet 6 inches. She finished fifth in the girls shot put with a toss of 23 feet 8.75 inches.

Jacob McQuinn finished second in the boys discus with a throw of 113 feet 7 inches. He finished fourth in the boys shot put with a toss of 33 feet 5.75 inches

Nick Mowry finished second in the boys long jump with a jump of 16 feet 10 inches.

Johnny Fike finished second in the boys 3,200 meter run in 11:15.5.

Hayden Dickerson finished third in the boys 300 meter hurdles in 48.0.

Bradford’s boys 4×400 meter relay finished third in 4:15.9.

Hayden Dickerson finished fourth in the boys long jump with a jump of 16 feet 7.75 inches.

Courtney Smidutz finished fifth in the girls 100 meter dash.

Shane Bryan finished fifth in the boys 1,600 meter run in 5:39.6.
