Versailles baseball team defeats Minster

MINSTER – Versailles run ruled Minster 15-3 in a non-conference baseball game on Monday.

Versailles jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. After Minster scored one run in the bottom of the first, Versailles added one run in the second and six in the third to lead 11-1. Minster scored two runs in the third inning then Versailles scored one in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Versailles had 14 hits and two errors while Minster had three hits and four errors.

Kyle Subler was 3-for-2, was hit by two pitches, stole a base, scored two runs and drove in three runs. Noah Richard went 3-for-5 with a stolen base, two runs and three RBI. Will Eversole was 2-for-3, walked once, drove in a run and scored two runs. Isaac Ruhenkamp was 2-for-4 with a RBI and two runs.

Keaton McEdowney was 1-for-4 with a double, was hit by a pitch, scored two runs and drove in three runs. Cole Niekamp was 1-for-3, walked, scored a run and drove in a run. Kurtis Rutschilling was 1-for-4, walked, scored a run and drove in a run.

Noah Grisez was 1-for-2 and scored a run. Jacob Heitkamp was hit by a pitch, walked, scored a run and drove in a run. Elliot Bruns walked and scored a run.

Richard pitched three innings, allowing three unearned runs on three hits, three walks and three strikeouts. McEdowney pitched one scoreless inning, walked two and struck out two. Niekamp pitched a scoreless inning, walking two and striking out three.
