2 Versailles softball players named 1st team all-MAC

VERSAILLES – Versailles juniors Hailey McEldowney and Kami McEldowney both were named first team all-Midwest Athletic Conference for the 2017 softball season.

Additionally, Versailles’ Brynna Blakeley and Sarah Gigandet both made the MAC’s honorable mention team.

Parkway’s Haley Hawk was named the MAC softball player of the year while Parkway’s Mark Esselstein was named the MAC softball coach of the year.

Parkway won the MAC championship with a 7-0 record in conference play. Coldwater, Minster and New Bremen all tied for second in the league at 4-3 while St. Henry and Versailles tied for fifth at 3-4. Marion Local finished seventh with a 2-5 record, and Fort Recovery finished eighth at 1-6.
