Versailles girls golf team places 2nd in its Lady Tiger Tee Invitational

VERSAILLES – The Versailles girls golf team finished as the runner-up in its own Lady Tiger Tee Invitational on Thursday at Stillwater Valley Golf Club.

Tippecanoe won the 14-team championship with a score of 391 while Versailles Black finished second with a 393 team score. St. Henry finished third with a 395, Miami East was fourth with a 421, and Fort Loramie finished fifth with a 441.

Minster finished sixth with a 453, New Bremen was seventh with a 456, Greenville finished eighth with a 458, National Trail was ninth with a 460, Arcanum finished 10th with a 468, Versailles Orange was 11th with a 493, Franklin Monroe finished 12th with a 500, Tri-Village was 13th with a 519, and Covington finished 14th with a 593.

National Trail’s Makenna Jones was the tournament medalist with an 18-hole round of 82. Tippecanoe’s Marissa Miller finished second overall with an 87 while Greenville’s Jada Garland and Versailles’ Lauren Durham tied for third with rounds of 89.

Miami East’s Paige Lawson and St. Henry’s Ellen Naumann tied for fifth with rounds of 91, Arcanum’s Lexi Unger and Tippecanoe’s Taylor Hudson tied for seventh with rounds of 92, and St. Henry’s Karlee Staugler finished ninth with a 99.

Durham led Versailles Black with her round of 89. Also for the Lady Tigers, Morgan Barlage shot a 100, Anna Groff shot a 100, Morgan Heitkamp shot a 104, Jorja Pothast shot a 106, and Maddie Durham shot a 119.

Garland led Greenville with her round of 89. Also for the Lady Wave, Ashley Karns shot a 108, Makenzi Glancy shot a 130, and Jessica Mortensen shot a 131.

Unger led Arcanum with her round of 92. Also for the Lady Trojans, Sydney Artz shot a 115, Madelyn Wogoman shot a 126, Madison Mankin shot a 135, Alex Less shot a 143, and Trista Hollinger shot a 158.

Alexis Jay led Versailles Orange with a round of 110. Also for the Lady Tigers, Taylor Martin shot a 117, Cayla Batten shot a 126, and Ali Moran shot a 140.

Claire Haviza led Franklin Monroe with a 105. Also for the Lady Jets, Grace Zimmerman shot a 125, Grace Fee shot a 132, Josie Patrick shot a 138, Breanna Lavy shot a 156, and Sierra Keller shot a 159.

Lauren Flory led Tri-Village with a round of 115. Also for the Lady Patriots, Julia Mellott shot a 120, Jazmine Hielman shot a 141, and Makenna Anderson shot a 143.
