Greenville boys soccer team loses 3-0 at Celina

CELINA – Greenville’s boys soccer team lost 3-0 to Celina in its season opener on Friday.

Celina recorded the game’s first goal with Jim Aquino scoring an unassisted goal with 31:21 remaining in the opening half.

Kyle Flaute made it 2-0 with a goal off a Cole Cisco assist with 8:14 left in the half.

Flaute added his second goal of the night with another assist by Cisco with 6:18 remaining in the second half to make it 3-0.

Celina had 19 shots on goal while Greenville had two. Greenville goal keepers Jacob Maher and Austin Smith, who both played one half, each had four saves while Celina’s Derek Truesdale had two saves.
