Greenville girls tennis team defeats Northmont

CLAYTON – Greenville’s girls tennis team improved to 3-1 on the season with a 4-1 victory against Northmont on Wednesday.

In the first doubles match Greenville’s Addie Haupt and Abby Swensen beat Ayana McCain and Ashton Slusher 6-0, 6-1. In second doubles the Lady Wave’s Marabelle Lance and Larisa Schmitmeyer beat Serenity Anderson and Whitney White 6-3, 7-5.

In first singles Greenville’s Natalie Milligan lost 6-2, 6-4 to Lauren Kelsey. In the second singles match the Lady Wave’s Anna Manges beat Athaiah Peters 6-1, 6-2. In third singles the Wave’s Emily Marchal swept Hailey Jenkins 6-0, 6-0 to improve to 4-0 on the year.
