GREENVILLE – Franklin Monroe hosted the 16-team Jet Invitational boys golf tournament on Saturday at Turtle Creek Golf Course.
Franklin Monroe, Arcanum, Mississinawa Valley, Tri-Village and Versailles all competed in the tournament, which Newton won with a 347 team score.
Versailles finished third with a 360. Connor VanSkyock led the Tigers with an 87, Will Eversole shot a 90, Austin Pleiman shot a 91, PJ Platfoot shot a 92, Alex Keiser shot a 99, and Ethan Kremer shot a 104.
Franklin Monroe finished sixth with a 377. Jeremy Bridenbaugh led the Jets with an 88, Noah Koffer shot a 90, Bryce Filbrun shot a 98, Jacob Aslinger shot a 101, Austin Wolf shot a 109, and Dalton Goubeaux shot a 116.
Arcanum finished ninth in the team standings with a 406. Carter Gray led the Trojans with a 93, Kendall Wright shot a 103, Cameron Warner shot a 104, Jack Shannon shot a 106, Trevor Bailey shot a 107, and Cade Brubaker shot a 110.
Tri-Village finished 10th with a 408. Gage Hileman led the Patriots with a 95, Corbin Holzapfel shot a 98, Cohen Nelson shot a 106, Jakob Frech shot a 109, Derek Eyer shot a 111, and Dylan Holsappe shot a 118.
Mississinawa Valley finished 15th with a 462. Mason Hiestand and Kyler Guillozet led the Blackhawks as they both shot a 113, Mason Hummel shot a 116, Justin Miller shot a 120, Matt Slyder shot a 140, and Lucas Newbauer shot a 163.
Twin Valley South’s Nathan Osborn won the individual championship with a one-over-par 73.
