Jonathan Davenport wins the World 100 at Eldora Speedway

ROSSBURG – The World 100 wrapped up Saturday night at Eldora Speedway with Jonathan Davenport claiming the top prize.

The night’s action included six heat races each lasting 15 laps then went into two 20-lap B Features, two B feature scrambles of five laps each then concluded with the 100-lap A feature.

Taking home the black and white checkered for heat one was the 14 of Darrell Lanigan, second was the 32P of Bobby Pierce and third was the 0 of Scott Bloomquist.

In heat two the 5 of Don O’Neal was victorious, second was the 1P of Earl Pearson Jr., and third was the 17D of Zack Dohm.

Heat three saw the 157 of Mike Marlar in first, second was the 1 of Brandon Sheppard and third was the 21 of Billy Moyer.

Taking home the black and white checkered for heat four was the 49 of Jonathan Davenport, second was the 39 of Tim McCreadie and third was the 28 of Dennis Erb Jr.

First in heat five was the 22S of Gregg Satterlee, second was the 44 of Chris Madden and third was the 116 of Brandon Overton.

The 71 of Hudson O’Neal won heat six, second was the 28M of Jimmy Mars and third was the 99JR of Frank Heckenast Jr.

The first B feature saw the 20 of Jimmy Owens take home first followed in second by the 15H of Jon Henry and third was the 17M of Dale McDowell.

In B Feature two the 7R of Kent Robinson finished first, second was the 9 of Devin Moran and third was the 55 of Jeep VanWormer.

The B feature one scramble was won by the 2 of Nick Hoffman, the 101 of Casey Roberts finished second and in the third spot was the 15 of Steve Francis.

The B feature two scramble saw the 1V of Vic Hill in first, the 7M of Donald McIntosh in second and third was the 10 of Eddie Carrier Jr.

In the final race of the night, the A feature, taking home $50,000 was the 49 of Davenport, the 22S of Gregg Satterlee took home second and the 157 of Mike Marlar took home third.

Davenport started third, and he got out first from the start and stayed there the whole race. He set the record for the first driver in 14 years to go out front from the start without a challenge.
