NEW PARIS – Ansonia lost the first set but then won the next three to defeat National Trail in its regular season finale on Thursday, 16-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-16.

Aliya Barga led Ansonia with 10 kills in Thursday’s Cross County Conference match while Bailey Stammen added seven. Barga also had a team-high three aces and 15 blocks. Stammen had six blocks while Chelsea Noggler had three.

Trinity Henderson led the Tigers with 28 digs, Barga had 19, and Emily Gariety had 18. Stammen led the team with 13 assists.

Ansonia improved to 7-15 overall and 6-6 in the CCC with Thursday’s win.

The Tigers will play Troy Christian in the first round of the Ohio High School Athletic Association tournament on Tuesday at Troy High School.
