Elle Siculan breaks record in Arcanum’s win vs. Mississinawa Valley

ARCANUM – Arcanum’s Elle Siculan broke the Lady Trojans’ single season assists record on Thursday in a 25-21, 25-15, 25-17 Cross County Conference victory against Mississinawa Valley.

Siculan finished the night with 513 assists, breaking the record of 492 that previously was held by current Arcanum junior varsity coach Brandey (O’Dell) Brubaker. Siculan broke the Trojans’ career assists record earlier this season.

For Mississinawa Valley, Amanda Armstrong had seven kills and three blocks in Thursday’s match. Stevi Keen had nine digs. MaKenna Price had six kills and nine digs. Sidnie Hunt had 11 assists and 10 digs. Olivia Murphy had five assists.

Mississinawa Valley finished the regular season with an overall record of 5-16 and 2-9 conference record. MV will begin the Ohio High School Athletic Association tournament against Emmanuel Christian at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Troy.

Arcanum finished the regular season with a 17-5 overall record and 10-2 conference mark. The Trojans will play Dixie in the first round of the OHSAA tournament at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Brookville.

Thursday was senior night for Arcanum. The Trojans honored seniors Ashlynn Farmer, Sydney Naylor, Elle Siculan and Madi Wilson.
