Mississinawa Valley, Versailles lose WOHSBC bowling matches

DARKE COUNTY – Bowling teams from Mississinawa Valley and Versailles lost West Ohio High School Bowling Conference matches on Saturday.

The Mississinawa Valley boys lost 2,417-2,336 to Lima Central Catholic at Plaza Lanes in Celina. Zac Longfellow led the Blackhawks with games of 155 and 210, Mason Hardwick rolled games of 154 and 176, Matt Slyder rolled games of 151 and 143, Lucas Newbauer rolled games of 157 and 115, and Colton Hardwick rolled games of 138 and 123.

Versailles’ boys lost 2,649-2,119 to Lima Shawnee at Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater. Luke Shellhaas led the Tigers with games of 142 and 197, Quayd Pearsom rolled games of 154 and 160, Brandon Bradley rolled games of 165 and 123, Bretten Cheadle rolled a 121, Sam Bensman rolled a 117, Caden Dickey rolled a 104, and Chad Shimp rolled a 99.

The Versailles girls lost 2,446-2,396 to Lima Shawnee at Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater. Morgan Barlage led the Tigers with games of 211 and 157, Morgan Hietkamp rolled games of 213 and 152, Makenzie Berning rolled games of 167 and 156, Lindsey Cheadle rolled a 146, Jena Mangen rolled a 145, and Haddi Treon rolled a 130.

The Ansonia, Mississinawa Valley and Versailles girls bowling teams are all 0-1 this season. The Ansonia and Versailles boys are both 0-1 this season while Mississinawa Valley’s boys are 0-2.

On Tuesday the Mississinawa Valley boys will face New Bremen while the Versailles boys face Russia at 5 p.m. at Community Lanes in Minster.
