Mississinawa Valley, Versailles boys bowling teams win WOHSBC matches

MINSTER – The Mississinawa Valley and Versailles boys bowling teams both earned their first wins of the season in Tuesday’s West Ohio High School Bowling Conference action at Community Lanes in Minster.

Mississinawa Valley’s boys beat New Bremen 2,679-2,572. Zac Longfellow led MV with games of 266 and 208, Lucas Newbauer rolled games of 180 and 188, Colton Hardwick rolled games of 147 and 197, Mason Hardwick rolled games of 177 and 150, and Matt Slyder rolled games of 137 and 152.

Versailles’ boys beat Russia 2,429-2,251. Luke Shellhaas led the Tigers with games of 180 and 215, Brandon Bradley rolled games of 166 and 180, Chad Shimp rolled games of 158 and 145, Bretten Cheadle rolled a 151, Sam Bensman rolled a 138, Quayd Pearson rolled a 137, and Caden Dickey rolled a 94.

Versailles improved to 1-1 on the season with its win while Mississinawa Valley improved to 1-2.

Mississinawa Valley’s boys and girls bowling teams will return to action in the Spartan Invitational at 9 a.m. Saturday at 20th Century Lanes in Lima.

Versailles’ boys and girls bowling teams will compete in the Kick-Off Tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday at Columbus Square Bowling Palace.
