UNION CITY – The Mississinawa Valley girls basketball team lost its Cross County Conference opener on Thursday, falling 63-27 to Newton.
Riley Price led Mississinawa with 8 points in the loss while Kya Lavy added 6.
Mississinawa Valley fell to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the CCC with the defeat. The Blackhawks will play host to Fairlawn on Monday.
