PLEASANT HILL – The Ansonia volleyball team lost to Cross County Conference foe Newton in four sets on Thursday, 25-8, 20-25, 25-19, 25-14.
Bailey Stammen led Ansonia with 15 assists, and Ashton Bradham added 13. Lydia Sink led the team with three aces, and Jailyn Thwaits had two.
Sink also led the team with 14 kills, and Stammen was second on the team with five. Taylor Thwaits and Brooke Neal led the team with six digs each.
Ansonia plays host to rival Mississinawa Valley on Tuesday.
