Tri-County North rallies to defeat the Greenville baseball team

GREENVILLE – Tri-County North scored four runs in the seventh inning to defeat the Greenville baseball team 4-1 on Monday.

Greenville and Tri-County North were scoreless until the bottom half of the sixth inning when Greenville scored a run. But then North responded with four runs in the top of the seventh to claim the victory.

Greenville had six hits and no errors on Monday while Tri-County North had eight hits and one error.

Kyle Mills was 2-for-3 and scored Greenville’s lone run. Tyler Beyke was 2-for-3 with a stolen base. Tony Sells was 1-for-3 with a RBI. Karsyn Fender also was 1-for-3. Ethan Saylor walked, was hit by a pitch and stole a base.

Colton Zumbrun pitched the complete game for the Green Wave, allowing four earned runs on eight hits, two walks, two hit batters and four strikeouts.

Greenville fell to 12-12 with Monday’s loss.
