Versailles will play Zoarville Tuscarawas Valley in the second of two Division III state volleyball semifinal matches on Thursday at the Wright State University Nutter Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Tuscarawas Valley defeated Chillicothe Southeastern 3-1 in the Logan Regional on Saturday by scores of 25-22, 25-11, 22-25, 28-26 to earn its fourth consecutive regional championship.

The Tigers (18-10) have a recent history with Tuscarawas Valley after beating them last year in the state semifinals en route to their Division III state championship. Versailles knocked out Tuscarawas Valley 3-1 by scores of 25-17, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, and then went onto to beat Coldwater 3-2 in the state championship by scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-19, 21-25, 15-9.

Tuscarawas Valley (25-2) is making its fourth straight appearance in the state semifinals. In addition to making the state semifinals this year and in 2017, the Trojans were the Division III state runner-up in 2016 after losing to Miami East in the finals. In 2015, Tuscarawas Valley lost to St. Henry in the state semifinals.
