Versailles girls basketball team loses MAC game to New Bremen

VERSAILLES – The Versailles girls basketball team lost a Midwest Athletic Conference game 46-35 to New Bremen on Thursday.

Versailles took an 18-17 lead in the first quarter but fell behind 24-22 at halftime. New Bremen extended its lead to 39-27 in the third quarter en route to its 11 point win.

Danielle Winner led Versailles with 14 points in the loss. Also for the Tigers, Lauren Monnin scored six points, Kristin Langston scored four, Kami McEldowney scored four, Ellen Peters scored four, and Kami Ording scored three.

Versailles fell to 3-3 overall and 0-2 in the MAC with the loss while New Bremen improved to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the MAC.

Versailles will play host to Miami Valley at 3 p.m. Saturday.
