GREENVILLE – The Greenville wrestling team finished as the runner up in its own Greenville Invitational on Saturday.

Seven teams competed in the invitational with Greenville finishing behind champion Waynesville. Arcanum finished in sixth place behind third place Tri-County North, fourth place Goshen and fifth place Lima Shawnee. The Trojans beat seventh place Dunbar in the standings.

Greenville had three wrestlers win their weight classes while Arcanum had two wrestlers win their classes.

Greenville’s Austin Lacey won the 106 pound class, the Green Wave’s Jeremy Eshbaugh won the 145 pound class, and the Wave’s William Nibert won the 182 pound class.

Arcanum’s Ethin Hoffman won the 120 pound class, and the Trojans’ Matt Todd won the 152 pound class.

Greenville’s Dean Hurd finished second in the 113 pound class, Greenville’s Jacob Mikesell finished second in the 126 pound class, and Greenville’s Christian Chalmers finished second in the 170 pound class.

Greenville’s Jacob Goldsmith finished third in the 152 pound class, Arcanum’s Jack Walters finished third in the 195 pound class, and Arcanum’s Mike Johnson finished third in the 285 pound class.

Greenville’s Joseph Edwards finished fourth in the 132 pound class, Arcanum’s Dylan Burns finished fourth in the 145 pound class, Arcanum’s Christian Layman finished fourth in the 160 pound class, and Greenville’s Caden Gonzalez finished fourth in the 182 pound class.
