ANSONIA – T he Ansonia girls basketball team played Betel at home in a Cross County Conference matchup, and the Tigers came away with a 60-47 win.
Abby Helmke led the Tigers with 18 points, six rebounds and five steals. Bailey Stammen had 16 points and eight rebounds. Jaylin Thwaits scored 12 points, pulled down six rebounds and had five steals. Stefani Garrett dished out six assists.
The Tigers moved to 6-4 overall on the season 3-2 in the conference with the win.
