Hartford City man arrested for rash of robberies

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. – Jason B Garmon, Age 36, of Hartford City has been taken into custody in connection with the bank robberies that occurred in Eaton, Winchester and Dunkirk, Indiana.

Tips led authorities to look into Garmon who was a parolee with prior Robbery convictions. Indiana State Parole agents assisted authorities in locating Garmon.

Search warrants were conducted a Garmon’s residence in Hartford City and within a vehicle that Garmon had been driving where approximately $3,000 in currency was seized as well as several pieces of evidence related to the aforementioned robberies.

Agencies assisting in the investigation included Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, Blackford County Sheriff’s Department, Eaton Police Department, Dunkirk Police Department, Winchester Police Department, Indiana State Police, and Indiana State Parole Agents.

Garmon will be processed into the Blackford County Jail and eventually be extradited to Delaware County and Randolph County to face charges related to the robberies.
