SIDNEY — Doyle R. Sargent, age 76, of Sidney, formerly of Bradford, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at the Piqua Manor Nursing Home.

Doyle was born in Bradford on Aug. 1, 1938, to the (late) Roy H. and Ferhn Mae (Oda) Sargent; a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1956; retired from Johnson Controls, Vandalia, with 38 years of service; a member of the Harris Creek Church of the Brethren; and a member of the F&AM Bradford Lodge #593.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janice Eichelberger; and two brothers, Donald and Paul Sargent.

Doyle is survived by his wife of 31 years, Diane Ruth (Dytom) Sargent; two sons, Nathan and wife, Chris Sargent of Covington, Matthew and wife, Lora Sargent of Sidney; two daughters, Natalie and husband, Jim Royer of Savona, Ohio, Mary Elizabeth “Shortie” Sargent and companion, Doug Combs of Arcanum; two stepsons, Michael Paul and wife, Mary Baker of Vaughnsville, Ohio, Scott Frederick and wife, Sharon Baker of Littleton, Colorado; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Sargent of Bradford; and other relatives and friends.

Memorial service 2 p.m. Saturday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford. The family will receive friends 12 noon Saturday until time of service. Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
