VANDALIA, Ill. — Frances Marie Mote, age: 83, of Vandalia, Illinois, died 10:59 a.m., Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Dec. 22, 1932, in Winchester, Indiana, daughter of Edgar and Myrtle (Copper) Lykins, both deceased.

Frances worked as a nurse’s aide before staying home and raising her family. She loved to play bingo and scratch off Lotto tickets.

She married Robert Mote on June 24, 1950, and he preceded her in death in 2001.

Survivors are daughters, Sandra Rogers of Vandalia and Patty and husband Alan Railsback of Greenville, Ohio; son, Kelton Mote and pup Buddy of Greenville, Ohio; brothers, George Lykins of Palmetto, Florida, and Ronnie Lykins of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren: Dawn Hobson and Darin Hobson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jason Berry and wife Angie of Salem, Tanda Ronholdt of Patoka, Gerrid Berry and wife Andrea of Vandalia, Jamie and husband Casey Landreth of Patoka, Brandi and husband Jacon Wyne of New Madison, Ohio, and Jesse Railsback of Greenville, Ohio; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren

In addition to parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Hobson; and brothers Jimmy Lykins and Pat Lykins.
