GREENWOOD, Ind. — Ginger L. (Grube) Hans, 75, of Greenwood, Indiana, went to be with her Savior Christ Jesus Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at 5 p.m. at her home in Greenwood. She was born May 17, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio, to Clifford Cummins Grube and Louise A. (Shroder) Grube.

She had been a teacher’s aide to special needs children in the New Haven School District and South Adams School District in Adams County, Indiana. She also volunteered at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She attended Southland Community Church in Greenwood, Indiana She was involved in women’s prison ministry and also loved teaching Sunday school. She enjoyed her Bible study group, flower ministry, being creative, the outdoors, gardening, flowers, birds, and especially spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

She married John Hans on Aug. 25, 1961 at Arcanum United Methodist Church in Arcanum, Ohio. He survives as do her children, children Regina Hans of Fishers, Indiana, John Hans (Deb) of Franklin, Indiana, Matthew Hans (Shelley) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Noelle Daniels (Carl) of Fishers, Indiana, 13 grandchildren, sister Sue Oda (Bill) of Troy, Ohio, brother Frank Grube (Jane) of Bradenton, Florida, and sister-in-law Shirley Shroder of Arcanum, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Jerry Shroder.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Southland Community Church, 5800 Wm Smith Valley Road in Greenwood, Indiana. Friends and family may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the church.
