Mississinawa Valley softball run ruled by Celina

UNION CITY – Celina run ruled Mississinawa Valley 17-2 in six innings of softball on Monday.

Celina took a 9-0 lead with four runs in the first inning, three in the second and two in the third. After Mississinawa Valley scored one run in the bottom of the third, Celina scored a run in the fourth to go up 10-1. MV scored its final run in the bottom of the fifth then Celina scored seven runs in the sixth to win 17-2.

Celina out-hit Mississinawa Valley 20 to five.

Paxton Scholl went 2-for-3 with a triple and scored a run. Bailey Johnson went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and two RBI. Makayla Coning was 1-for-3 and stole a base. Kinsie Blocher went 1-for-3. Lindsay Johns was hit by a pitch and stole a base. Lupe Arrona walked and scored a run.

Johns pitched the complete game, allowing 17 runs on 20 hits, eight walks and three hit batters.
