June 26

-1:54 p.m.: theft. A resident at a 400-block East Third Street address reported a video game system and games stolen. Police determined a guest at the address, Jesse York, had sold the fames at Go-Go Gamers and attempted to sell the game system. York could not be immediately located but was to be cited for theft when found.

June 30

-9:12 p.m.: burglary. Kyle Reigelsperger was arrested for burglary and jailed for a break-in at a residence in the 200 block of Sycamore Street.

July 2

-3:15 p.m.: theft. Two tires were reported stolen from a vehicle parked near a residence in the 200 block of East Third Street.

July 4

-8:47 p.m.: OVI. Rickey Elson, of Greenville, was cited for operating a vehicle under the influence and failure to signal a turn. He also was placed under administrative license suspension after testing at a blood alcohol content of .212 and performing poorly on a field sobriety test.

July 5

-3:28 p.m.: fugitive. Chad Wright was arrested outside his residence on a drug paraphernalia warrant. He was transported to the Darke County Jail and held without bond.

July 6

-7:04 p.m.: theft. A bicycle was reported stolen from the area of the city pool.

-11:22 p.m.: fugitive. Cassandra Smock was arrested on an active bench warrant for contempt of court out of Darke County and incarcerated at the Darke County jail.

July 7

-4:08 p.m.: fugitive. Jessica Smith was arrested in the Adult Probation Department at the Darke County Courthouse on an active bench warrant for failure to appear on a charge of attempted theft. She was transported to jail and held without bond.

July 8

-3:34 a.m.: theft. Police investigated a report from a Stardust Transportation truck driver that a chrome mirror was stolen from his semi while it was parked at 1755 Kitchenaid Way.

Accidents

-Bryan A. Houdeshell, 29, of Greenville, was cited for an assured clear distance violation after rearending Fedna R. Centers, 51, of Union City, Ohio, July 1 at 4:30 p.m. on Wagner Avenue.

-Randal W. Day, 30, of Barberton, was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation after rearending the vehicle driven by Daniel L. Croley, 33, of Ormond, Florida, July 2 at 2 a.m. on East Russ Road near North Ohio Street. Croley was transported for possible injuries.

-Brittany N. Baker, 29, of Greenville, was cited for a stop sign violation after a two-car collision July 3 at 6:46 p.m. According to the crash report, she failed to yield at a stop sign on Sweitzer Street at Sherman Street and struck the vehicle driven by Susan K. Hess, 57, of Greenville. The report stated Baker initially fled the scene then later turned herself in. The Baker vehicle was moderately damaged, while the Hess vehicle was heavily damaged. Hess and a passenger were both treated at the scene. Baker also was cited for operating a vehicle under the influence and leaving the scene of a crash.
