GREENVILLE — Darke County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Greenville man Saturday morning on charges of domestic violence after a five-hour standoff.
Saturday around 5:09 a.m., deputies and Tri-Village Rescue personnel responded to 3631 Hi Wind Road on a report of domestic violence.
Upon arrival, deputies attempted numerous times to make contact with the residents without success. Deputies observed a man and woman, as well as a child, inside the residence through an opened window on the front porch. Because of the possibility of injuries and children present, addition deputies and the Darke County Special Response Team and hostage negotiators were dispatched to the scene.
The man and woman exited the residence around 10:41 a.m. through the garage door, and they were detained without incident.
The man and woman were identified as Jordan C.N. Redmond, 27, and Tara Redmond, 25, who reside there with their children.
Jordan Redmond was transported to the Darke County Jail and is currently being held on charges of domestic violence.
