Randolph Co. issues road advisory

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Indiana — A Travel Advisory (YELLOW LEVEL) has been issued by the Randolph County Commissioners due to flooded roadways adjacent to the Mississinewa River in northern Randolph County.

Randolph County Highway reports many roads are not accessible to motor vehicles. County Highway is unable to determine at this time if infrastructure is damaged. Water across roadways present a significant risk to the motoring public. Do not cross roadways covered in water. Turn around, do not drown.

A travel advisory is the lowest level of local travel advisory that means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.

Any vehicle blocking or stranded on a roadway will be removed from the road as deemed necessary by highway crews or emergency personnel. Randolph County, its cities and towns will not be liable for any damages or expenses associated with said removal of vehicles.
