FORT RECOVERY — Those interested in hops production — already growing, thinking of growing or brewing their own beer — will want to learn from the hop farmers investing their own time, money and hard work to grow high quality Ohio hops.

This Saturday is their chance to visit nine commercial Ohio hop yards and talk to the growers regarding varieties, trellis design and construction, fertility management, pest management, harvesting, processing, marketing, quality control and anything else they might want to learn from an established hop farmer.

This Ohio Hop Farm tour is organized and conducted by the Ohio Hop Growers Guild.

Hop farms throughout Ohio will be open Saturday, July 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Heartland Hops & BnB, 768 State Line Road, Fort Recovery, will be among the growers participating in the event.
