Aug. 17

-8:04 p.m.: theft. A theft was reported at Walmart.

Aug. 29

-1:19 a.m.: disorderly conduct. Debbie Mayer was cited for disorderly conduct and released for lack of jail space following a domestic incident and reportedly shouting obscenities at neighbors, her children and responding officers.

-10:22 p.m.: burglary. A resident in the 200 block of Warren Street reported returning home to find his front door kicked in and a 60-inch flat screen TV and computer tablet had been taken.

Aug. 31

-6:14 p.m.: burglary. Police responded to a report of a burglary at a residence in the 400 block of Medallion Drive. Reported missing were an Xbox gaming system, two games and several pieces of jewelry.

Sept. 1

-1:16 p.m.: breaking and entering. A shed at SafeHaven was broken into and a gas powered edger was reported stolen.

-8:18 p.m.: burglary. A burglary was reported at an apartment in the 1100 block of Russ Road. Two televisions were reported stolen.

Accidents

– Carol S. Godwin, 55, of Greenville, was cited for failure to yield from a private drive following a two-vehicle collision Aug. 31, at 3:03 p.m.

According to the police report, Godwin backed into a driveway at 117 W. Harman Drive. Sherry L. Hufford, 41, of Union City, Indiana, was westbound, and Godwin pulled forward out of the drive and attempted to turn left, striking Hufford’s vehicle.

The Godwin vehicle sustained minor damage, and the Hufford vehicle sustained moderate damage.

– Tonia S. Meade, 46, of Greenville, was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign following a two-vehicle collision Sept. 1, at 2:27 p.m.

Meade reportedly stopped at a stop sign on Grant Street at East Fifth and failed to notice an oncoming car before proceeding into the intersection. She then was struck by the vehicle driven by Kayla L. Shepherd, 16, of Greenville.

The Meade vehicle sustained moderate damage, and the Shepherd vehicle sustained minor damage.

-Bruce I. Pack, 61, of Miamisburg, was cited for an assured clear distance violation after striking a parked car on Washington Avenue Sept. 1, at 10:32 p.m. when he reportedly swerved to avoid hitting a bicyclist.
