Greenville cross country teams compete at Widewater Invitational in Liberty Center


LIBERTY CENTER – The Greenville boys finished eighth and the Greenville girls finished ninth on Saturday at the Widewater Invitational at Liberty Center.

The Green Wave boys finished eighth out of 11 teams in the high school boys black division. Greenville beat Holgate, Pettisville and Kalida.

Jacob Hounshell led the Greenville boys as he finished 29th overall in 18:00.73. Also for the Green Wave, Andrew Kocher finished 38th in 18:14.49, Carson Bruner finished 45th in 18:30.79, Tanner Herrmann finished 47th in 18:33.41, Seth Unger finished 59th in 18:58.54, Jacob Subler finished 70th in 19:13.36, Pryce Durnye finished 75th in 19:24.36, Quintin Muhlenkamp finished 85th in 19:40.86, James Graves finished 94th in 20:00.11, Tristan Milton finished 97th in 20:04.25, Daniel Harper finished 107th in 20:21.95, Alex Onkst finished 119th in 20:45.78, Levi Emerick finished 130th in 21:17.53, Caleb Browder finished 132nd in 21:21.03, Morgan Shepard finished 146th in 22:29.74, and Tyler Strait finished 147th in 22:38.54.

Liberty Center’s Colin Burns won the high school boys black division race, which included 169 runners, with a time of 15:53.62.

The Lady Wave girls finished ninth out of nine teams in the high school girls black division.

Ally Hayes led Greenville as she finished 22nd with a time of 21:20.98. Also for the Lady Wave, Lexi Roth finished 27th in 21:34.16, Brooke Perreira finished 28th in 21:35.56, Stacey Strobel finished 41st in 22:21.60, Grace Coakley finished 47th in 22:34.78, Tiffany Strobel finished 48th in 22:40.48, Brianna Hartle finished 56th in 23:15.51, Hannah Coakley finished 57th in 23:17.85, Hayley Maher finished 72nd in 24:10.01, Addy Frens finished 78th in 24:33.51, Macy Godown finished 94th in 26:14.79, Kelsie Ruble finished 96th in 26:31.32, Ana Paula Oliveria finished 98th in 27:09.77, and Emma Jennings finished 114th in 31:30.02.

Liberty Center’s Olivia Kundo won the high school girls black division race, which included 121 runners, with a time of 18:23.11.
