SPRINGFIELD – The Greenville boys golf team finished seventh in an Ohio High School Athletic Association sectional tournament on Tuesday at Reid Park Golf Course to finish its season.
Greenville shot a 365 to finish seventh out of the 14 teams in the Division I sectional tournament.
Parker Allison led Greenville with an 18-hole round of 88. Also for the Green Wave, Jason Shields shot an 89, AJ Bowers shot a 94, Andrew Harshman shot a 94, and Logan Gonzalez shot a 104.
Beavercreek won the sectional tournament by shooting a 311. The Beavers advanced to the district tournament along with Bellefontaine with a 328, Troy with a 335 and Xenia with a 353.
Tippecanoe finished fifth with a 354, Bellbrook finished sixth with a 358, Greenville finished seventh with its 365, Springfield finished eighth with a 371, Tecumseh finished ninth with a 389, Fairborn finished 10th with a 392, Sidney finished 11th with a 396, Piqua finished 12th with a 402, Wilmington finished 13th with a 409, and Stebbins finished 14th with a 422.
Individually Springfield’s Lucas Wells with a 78, Tippecanoe’s Wyatt Wilson with an 82, Bellbrook’s Raif Foster with an 83 and Tippecanoe’s Bradley Calhoun with a 84 qualified for the district tournament.
Beavercreek’s Alex Flick shot an 18-hole round of 73 to win the sectional tournament.
