IU East’s Mallory Livingston earns another KIAC Attack of the Week award

RICHMOND, Ind. – Another milestone week for Indiana University East volleyball senior Mallory Livingston resulted in another Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Attacker of the Week honor.

Livingston (Union City, Ohio/Mississinawa Valley High School) earned the KIAC’s weekly award for the top attacker for the fourth time this season based on her performance in the Red Wolves’ five matches this past week.

Livingston won the MVP award at the Indiana Institute of Technology’s Liz Lykowski Memorial Tournament as the Red Wolves won the team title.

Livingston went over the 1,000 digs mark for her career during the Indiana Tech tournament. She became the first IU East volleyball player with 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs.

In all, Livingston put up 83 kills in five matches for an average of 4.61 kills per set. She also totaled 55 digs for 3.06 per set.

Livingston leads the KIAC and is 26th in the nation with 3.75 kills per set.

IU East hosts KIAC leader Indiana University Kokomo at 7 p.m. Thursday at Seton Catholic High School. It is the final regular season home match for IU East. Livingston, the Red Wolves’ only senior, will be recognized before the match.
