Teen critical after accident


GREENVILLE – A 17-year-old boy was airlifted after the car he was driving went off the side of the road and hit a telephone pole.

On Saturday, Nov. 14 at approximately 10:48 p.m. Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Rescue, Greenville Township Fire and CareFlight were dispatched to the 2700 Block of State Route 571 in reference to the accident.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a silver Honda Civic, driven by the teenager, was traveling east on State Route 571. His car went off the right side of the road struck a telephone pole and a parked car before coming to rest on it’s driver’s side. The teen was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
