GREENVILLE — Local law enforcement is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at a Greenville home Tuesday afternoon.

Greenville Police officers, Darke County Sheriff’s deputies and Greenville Township rescue responded to a report of a shot being fired at a home located on the corner of Harrison Avenue and Fair Street.

Eyewitnesses at the scene state they first heard a scuffle between two men and then the sound of a single gunshot being fired. First responders treated a man at the scene, while another man was being held in custody in the back of a police cruiser.

The gunshot victim was transported by Greenville Township rescue to receive medical attention. His status is unknown at this time.
