MINSTER – The Versailles varsity boys bowling team bowled against Ottawa-Glandorf on Saturday at Community Lanes in Minster.

The boys started off on fire in their first match of the year, winning the first individual games with a total score of 904-785 and the second 958-748.

High individual games were rolled by Alex Groff 246-224, Brody Hyre 184, Jacob Wenning 202 and Luke Shellhaas 198.

“It was great to come out strong and have such a big lead allowing some of the more inexperienced bowlers a chance to have lane time and gain confidence,” coach Tyler Phlipot said.

After a good set of baker games the Tigers had the victory 2,716-2,373.

The next match is against Wapakoneta at Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater.
