Darke County football players earn all-district honors from AP

DARKE COUNTY – Athletes from all six of Darke County’s varsity football teams earned all-district honors from The Associated Press for the 2015 season.

In Division I Greenville junior Logan Eldridge was named first team all-district as a linebacker. Greenville senior quarterback Clay Guillozet and senior linebacker William Nibert Jr. both were named second team all-district.

In Division V Versailles senior Collin Peters was named first team all-district as a running back. Versailles senior offensive lineman Kyle Gigandet, senior defensive lineman Gavin Mills, junior linebacker Jonny Moorman and senior defensive back Corey Dieringer each earned second team all-district honors. Also, Eric Knapke earned honorable mention all-district honors.

In Division VI Arcanum junior offensive lineman Cambell Gostomsky, senior quarterback Daniel O’Donnell and junior running back Brandon Kinney each were named second team all-district. Hunter Saunders earned honorable mention all-district honors.

In Division VII Bradford senior Bailey Powell was named first team all-district as an offensive lineman and Mississinawa Valley senior Dalton Geesy was named first team all-district as a defensive lineman. Ansonia’s Nick Buckingham was named honorable mention all-district.
