NEW MADISON – Tri-Village advanced to the championship game in its own tournament by defeating Franklin Monroe 85-23 Friday night.
The Patriots were led by Allie Downing with 24 points followed by Danika Mann with 20 and 10 rebounds while Rachel Miller kicked in 13 points in the win.
Franklin Monroe was led by Hannah Eley with 10 points.
In the opening game of the 28th annual Bill Burkett basketball tournament, Arcanum downed Ansonia by the score of 47-33.
Alexis Abner had 17 and Stevie Johnting 15 points. Ansonia was led by Bailey Stammen with 10 points.
Ansonia will play Franklin Monroe in consolation game at 6 p.m. today while Arcanum will take on Tri-Village at 7:30 for the championship game.
