GREENVILLE — Greenville Middle School sixth-graders recently participated in a financial education activity called FETCH. FETCH is also known as Financial Education Teaches Children Healthy Habits.
The program is set in a dog park and through the game, teams of students managed the finances of owning a pet. With each turn, students used critical math and thinking skills to earn money for basics like a leash and collar, budget for unplanned expenses and save money for the future.
Employees from S. J. Meyer & Associates Inc., CPAs of Englewood and Ault Henderson & Lewis CPAs of Greenville volunteered their time to facilitate this program.
Also assisting were GHS Financial Specialist program students Sarah Brandon, Haley Dillman, Makayla Hanes, Victoria Nader and Logan Gorrell.
