COLUMBUS — On Friday, Ohio Governor John Kasich ordered all flags to be flown at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, in honor of those who lost their lives serving our country.
From the governor’s Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day resolution: “We remember the lives lost that tragic December morning and we owe all men and women of our military a debt of gratitude that we can never fully repay. I encourage all Ohioans to attend special ceremonies and remembrances honoring this event in our nation’s history.”
Flags across the state also are being flown at half-staff in honor of the lives lost in the senseless act of violence perpetrated in San Bernardino, California, on Wednesday.
