GREENVILLE – Brothers were seriously injured Saturday night in a crash were alcohol was suspected to be a factor.

On December 5 at 10:14 p.m. Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Rescue and Greenville Township Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 571 and Daly Road in reference to the single car accident.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Dustin Kolb, 27, of Greenville was traveling northbound on Daly Road when he failed to stop at the T intersection and drove across State Route 571, into a yard, and struck a tree.

Careflight was requested to the scene but was unable to fly due to the heavy fog. Dustin, along with his brother, Dexter Kolb, 29, of Greenville, who was a front seat passenger, were transported to Wayne HealthCare by Greenville Rescue. Dustin and Dexter were later transferred to Miami Valley Hospital.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash. This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s office.
