Mississinawa Valley girls basketball team loses at National Trail


NEW PARIS – The Mississinawa Valley girls basketball team lost a Cross County Conference game 43-30 to National Trail on Monday.

Mississinawa Valley took an 8-7 first quarter lead, but National Trail outscored MV 12-9 in the second quarter to go into halftime up 19-17. The Blazers extended their lead to 32-23 in the third quarter en route to the 43-30 win.

Mikayla Stump and Kylie Willis led Mississinawa with nine points each on Monday. Also for the Lady Hawks, Kelsie Hunt scored six points, Leslie Dirksen scored four, and Madison Stachler scored two.

Mississinawa Valley fell to 1-9 with Monday’s loss. The Lady Hawks are off until Jan. 4 when they play host to Tri-County North.
