GREENVILLE — Kathryn Collins, 98 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Jan. 9, 2016,at Brethren Retirement Community. Kathryn was born Sept. 23, 1917, in Randolph County, Indiana, to the late Leonard and Nellie (Lewis) Perkins.

Kathryn graduated from Jackson High School in Indiana. She had retired as the head cook from the Greenville City Schools. She was a member at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Greenville. She was a member of the Corning Retirees club, the quilt club, garden club and the VFW ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn is preceded by her husband, William ”Bill” Collins in 1980, her daughter, Mary Kaye Menke, seven brothers and two sisters.

Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Janice and Jack Oswalt of Greenville; three grandchildren, Karla Moore of Palestine, Beth and Gary Cain of Greenville, and Tom and Jo Oswalt of Long Beach, California; four grandchildren, Nathan and Julie Moore of Wayne Lakes, Leslie and Ryan Crawford of Palestine, Matthew Cain of Troy and Leah and Ben Sheperd of Bellbrook; 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Kathryn’s life will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Greenville with Pastor Peter Menke officiating. Friends and family may visit on Saturday from 12 p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in the Teegarden Cemetery near Ansonia. Family request donations be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
