Mississinawa Valley senior bowler Joe Teeter sets school record in win vs. Russia

MINSTER – The Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks boys bowling team defeated Russia 2,290-2,102 at Community Lanes in Minster.

“Once again our boys bowled well, and everyone contributed to get our second win in a row,” Mississinawa coach Joe Teeter said.

Joseph Teeter rolled a game-high 258 and followed that up with a 221 for a series high of 479, setting a school record for a two game series by 15.

Alex Longfellow rolled a 157 and 159 for a 316 series, Lucas Newbauer had a 148 and a 140 for a 288, and Andrew Reichard a 130 and 120 for a 250 series.

Dilyn Rammel rolled a 167 for a single game.

Mississinawa Valley record improved to 3-3 in the league and 3-5 overall. The Blackhawks are back in action on Saturday traveling to New Bremen Speedway Lanes where they will face Versailles, who also is 3-3 in the league.

The Mississinawa girls bowling team came up short in their match with Russia, losing 2,234-1,917.

Spencer Warren rolled a 295 series with a game-high 158. Kayla Harris had a 283 series with a 146 high game, Payton Reichard a 262 series with a 140 high game, and Audree Weimer a 244 with a 129 high game.

The girls also travel to New Bremen and will play Minster on Saturday.
