Mississinawa Valley girls basketball team loses to Lehman


UNION CITY – The Mississinawa Valley girls basketball team lost 51-32 to Lehman Catholic on Saturday afternoon.

Mississinawa led 10-7 through one quarter, but Lehman outscored MV 18-8 in the second quarter go take a 25-18 lead. The Cavaliers extended their lead to 36-26 in the third quarter and outscored the Hawks by 10 in the fourth quarter to win by 20.

Kelsie Hunt led Mississinawa Valley with 10 points in the loss. Also for the Lady Hawks, Madison Stachler scored nine points, Olivia Murphy scored four, Mikayla Stump scored four, Leslie Dirksen scored two, Kylie Willis scored two, and Sidnie Hunt scored one.

Mississinawa Valley will travel to Indiana to play crosstown rival Union City on Tuesday.
